The New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center is currently reconstructing Convention Center Blvd. between Poydras and Henderson streets in the Warehouse District. The construction is part of the $557 million Convention Center Development District Project that includes converting Convention Center Boulevard into a landscaped public park.

The Department of Public Works’ construction contractors are approximately 45 percent complete constructing the S. Broad Street Improvement Project between Erato Street and Tulane Avenue.

The St. Charles Avenue (Louisiana Avenue to Napoleon Avenue) Resurfacing project, a joint effort between the City of New Orleans and the Louisiana Department of Transportation, is in the final stages, pending completion of asphalt and striping.

Barriere Construction and their subcontractor, Dieudonne Enterprises, Inc., have completed all the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant ramps on St. Charles Avenue (streetcar track area).

Command Construction Industries, LLC is currently working on the river side of S. Galvez Street between Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Toledano Street. Traffic is being detoured to S. Claiborne Avenue and S. Broad Street for the duration of construction, which scheduled to last through the end of the year.
