The Department of Public Works’ construction contractor, Hard Rock Construction, LLC is 96 percent finished with replacing damaged concrete panels and installing new curbs on Pittari Street from Tullis to Patterson Drives.

Durr Heavy Construction, LLC crews have completed 33 percent of the Westbank Group A project scope in the Whitney neighborhood. Crews have finished removing damaged concrete panels as part of this project. Asphalt paving work is also underway on LeBeouf, Thayer and Atlantic streets. Asphalt re-paving work will continue this month while concrete crews are removing frames on newly installed Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant curb ramps and sidewalks.

Roubion Roads and Streets, LLC construction crews are currently 30 percent finished repairing damaged concrete panels on Berkeley Drive between Sullen Place and Bennett Street. Construction crews continue to excavate existing panels and frame portions of the roadway for weekly concrete placements.

Command Construction Industries, LLC has completed construction on the lake side of S. Galvez Street between Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Toledano Street and re-opened the roadway to local traffic.

Starting this month and continuing through February 2019, the Department of Public Works’ construction contractors will begin making repairs and accessibility improvements to Broad Street between Erato Street and Tulane Avenue.
