As the Pontilly Neighborhood Stormwater Network is nearly 50 percent complete and scheduled to be finished in fall 2020, Fleming Construction crews move into the Pontchartrain Park area on Dreux Avenue and Congress Street.  Soon, crews will install drainage pipes in between alleyways from Press Drive through the entire subdivision to Congress Street. The alleyways will connect the entire stormwater project to create a network of “gray-green” infrastructure items that will help alleviate flooding in the historic neighborhood.

Fleming Construction crews are now working extensively on Press Drive, Congress Drive and Mithra Street as the Pontilly Neighborhood Stormwater Network is nearly 50 percent complete. 

The $15M Pontilly Neighborhood Stormwater Network extends from Stephen Girard Avenue to Southern University at New Orleans

Fleming Construction workers are completing driveways on Stephen Girard as a part of the $15M Pontilly Stormwater Project. Workers excavated more than 10 blocks in Pontchartrain Park to install new drainage connections that will be attached to urban bioswales. Residents were granted temporary aggregate driveways while construction progressed.

Construction is well underway at Stephen Girard Ave as part of the Pontilly Stormwater Project. This project will reduce flood risk and beautify green spaces in the Pontchartrain Park and Gentilly Woods neighborhoods through the construction of green infrastructure features.
