Command Construction crews are working on underground utilities on the corner of Gayoso and Toulouse streets in the Lafitte neighborhood. The "gray-green" infrastructure project will help to alleviate localized flooding in this area. The completed site will feature upsized drainage, urban bioswales and huge water storage facility located underneath Easton Park. 

Work continues on the full reconstruction of the 800 and 900 blocks of Taft Place.

TKTMJ Construction completed portions of the retaining wall on Breakwater Drive. Additional riprap (rocky material placed along shorelines and shoreline structures to protect from erosion) has been added to strengthen the retaining wall. Crews plan to start on the patch, mill, overlay and incidental road repairs in the coming weeks. Residents in the area will continue to be notified as work progresses.

Beverly Construction completed several blocks on the West End Group A project this month, including portions of Avenue A and 20^th Street. Crews expect to complete more roadways during the month of October.  Residents will continue to be notified of water line tie-ins that may cause service interruptions, work schedule changes and activity that may limit access to driveways and walkways.

Department of Public Works and Sewerage and Water Board officials have completed inspecting the Lakeview South Group A . Hard Rock Construction, LLC has wrapped up the additional work, changes and adjustments outlined by the City’s project managers; the project is now being closed out.
