Construction is well underway at Stephen Girard Ave as part of the Pontilly Stormwater Project. This project will reduce flood risk and beautify green spaces in the Pontchartrain Park and Gentilly Woods neighborhoods through the construction of green infrastructure features.

The $4.4M Filmore South Group A project was designed by Volkert, Inc. and is being constructed by Hard Rock Construction, LLC. The project is tentatively scheduled to be completed in fall 2020, weather permitting.

Command Construction Industries, LLC has finished installing new waterlines across the $4.5M Filmore North Group A project. Crews are now beginning to work on sidewalks and driveway replacements; all catch basins in driveways will be converted to rollovers. In order to remain on schedule, crews are working Monday through Saturday.

The Canal Boulevard Full Depth Reconstruction Project began on in August. The northbound side of Canal between Robert E. Lee Blvd. and Amethyst St. is closed to traffic, and the southbound side has been temporarily converted to accommodate two-way traffic.

The City of New Orleans, Department of Public Works and Sewerage & Water Board began a full reconstruction project on Bourbon Street from St. Louis to Dumaine streets (500-800 blocks) on September 17, 2018. Work is occurring sequentially from the 500 – 800 blocks, with ONLY one block fenced off at a time throughout construction. All businesses along this corridor are open and accessible throughout construction. Currently, the contractor is working on sidewalks in the 800 block of Bourbon Street.
