The $7M West Bank Group B project began construction in March 2020. Fleming Construction Company, LLC continues to make progress after some slight delays. In the coming month, the contractor will return to perform asphalt work on Anson, Bringier, Farragut, Herschel, Horace, Lawrence, Odeon, and Richland streets. The project is expected to be completed in spring 2021, weather permitting.

The City is in the process of designing a full reconstruction project on Conti Street between Bourbon and Chartres streets. Entergy Gas and Entergy Electric are upgrading their utilities in advance of the city's project to avoid conflicts during construction and potential construction delays. Utility upgrades on the in the 700 block roadway have been completed and crews are curently working on sidewalks in this block.  A second crew is upgrading utilites in the 600 block of Conti Street.

Hard Rock Construction Co., LLC crews broke ground on the $13.6M Broadmoor Group A project in December 2020.  This month, in close collaboration with the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans, crews began water line test closures throughout the project. These test closures are in preparation for future water line tie-ins. Crews are also working on roadway and sidewalk restoration. The community will continue to be informed ahead of any work that will involve utility disruption and / or impact their parking and access to their streets.  Residents are asked to continue to be mindful of “No Parking” signs installed prior to roadwork. Vehicles are eligible for towing if not moved within 24 hours of signs being placed.

Barriere Construction, in close collaboration with the City of New Orleans and Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans, are working together to restore damaged infrastructure in the Central City neighborhood as part of the Central City Group A project.  This month crews continued performing water line tie-ins on South Derbigny and Josephine streets. Some weekend work was required to remain on schedule after the holiday season. The project is scheduled to be completed in fall 2021, weather permitting

Last month, Hard Rock Construction Co., LLC crews completed paving work on various blocks in the $6.3M Mid-City Group A infrastructure improvement project. The completion of these areas accounted for 92 percent of the originally contracted paving work. Crews continue street rehabilitation work and are expected to begin sewer line work later this month based upon the findings of recent closed-circuit television (CCTV) testing.
