FRERET GROUP A CONTINUES TO MOVE TOWARD SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION

Hard Rock Construction Co., LLC in close collaboration with the City of New Orleans and Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans, is working to restore damaged infrastructure in the Freret neighborhood as part of the Freret Group A infrastructure improvement project. The construction project is scheduled to be complete this winter.

Command Construction Industries, LLC crews are wrapping up construction and paving on all major streets that border the Hagan Lafitte Drainage project.

MAYOR CANTRELL KICKS OFF CITY PARK GROUP A PROJECT; CREWS CONTINUE PAVEMENT AND SEWER WORK

On December 29, 2020, Mayor Cantrell and other ciy leaders kicked off the City Park Group A infrastructure improvement project on Dumaine Street. Fleming Construction Co., LLC crews recently completed main sewer line replacements in the 4000 block of Delgado Street. Crews continue to work on main sewer line replacements on the 800 block of Roosevelt Street. New sidewalks have been installed on St. Peters Street, which includes Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramps at intersections.  At the end of January, crews will start sewer and water line system replacements and full-depth roadway reconstruction on St. John Court.  All residents will continue to be informed ahead of any construction work that will involve utility disruption and / or impact their parking and access to their street and driveways.

MARLYVILLE-FONTAINEBLEAU GROUP C PROJECT CONTINUES WATER AND SEWER LINE SYSTEM REPLACEMENTS

Wallace C. Drennan, Inc. crews have completed sewer line system installations and house connections on the 3900, 4000 and 4100 blocks of State Street Drive as part of the Marlyville-Fontainebleau Group C infrastructure improvement project.  Crews will return during the second to third quarter of 2021 to complete full-depth roadway reconstruction on State Street Drive from Fontainebleau Drive to Dart Street. Currently Drennan crews are replacing sewer lines on Neron Place and Fig Streets.

BLACK PEARL / EAST CARROLLTON GROUP A CONTINUES SIGNIFICANT PROGRESS

The $11.9M Black Pearl / East Carrollton Group A project, which began construction in August 2020, continues to make significant progress. This month Hard Rock Construction Co., LLC completed Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramps on Burdette, Fern, and Green streets. Water line and sewer line work continues on Short and Plum streets.  Utility work will continue in the coming month, in addition to excavation and concrete work.  The projects is expected to be completed in spring 2022, weather permitting.
