Work is wrapping up on the St. Claude Drainage Improvement project. In October, crews from Infinity Construction completed pouring new ADA ramps at Marias and Montegut; formed the bio-retention wall at the corner of Montegut and Urquhart; and began installing the roadway binder course in the 1100-1200 blocks of Montegut, the 1100 block of Feliciana, the 2800 block of Marias, and the 2800 block of Urquhart. The project is on schedule for substantial completion next month, weather permitting.

In October crews concentrated on the sewer main and water main at Amethyst St., and continued installing new drainage lines and manholes from Ring St. to Jewel St. along south bound Canal.

Hard Rock Construction, LLC., crews began installing new waterlines to replace the existing 70-year-old water lines in October on the Pontchartrain Park Group A  project. Crews are currently working on Debore Street.  Residents will continue to be notified of work that will impact their access and/or cause disruption to their utilities.

Beverly Construction, LLC, began water line repair work on Harrison Avenue as part of the St. Bernard Group A project in September.  For this sequence of the project, water line repair will extend from Harrison Ave. to Buchanan St. to Duplessis St., and to the 4200 block of Alfred St. to the dead end of Alfred St.

Later this year the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) is scheduled to begin an improvement project along North Claiborne between Poydras Street and St. Bernard Avenue. The project will also include LA 39 from St. Bernard Avenue to the west side of the Judge Seeber Bridge.
