The $11.9M Black Pearl/East Carrollton Group A project began construction in August 2020. Designed by All South Consulting Engineers, LLC, the project is being constructed by Hard Rock Construction, LLC. Construction work is currently focused on Adams, Burdette, Fern, Huso, Pearl, and Short streets.

Public safety is our priority as we continue our infrastructure work during this trying time for our city.  With hurricane season now under way, we are working with our contractors to ensure that their plans are finalized to secure sites ahead of any tropical weather event.

TKTMJ crews paused work on the Breakwater Drive improvement project in August. Work is scheduled to resume in October once final approvals on the project’s new scope is approved.  The expanded scope will extend the completion date to early 2021.

Beverly Construction, LLC., crews continue working weekends in order to complete paving operations on the West End Group A  project. Crews have been working weekends and extended days during the summer months in an effort to pave roadways that have been open since May.  Crews completed this work in September, ahead of starting the reconstructive work on 22^nd Street and the water line work on 20^th Street.

Pavement restoration and concrete work dominated the month’s activities in the Navarre Group A project, as curbs and gutters were formed on West Park and Charles streets, and new asphalt was installed on Catina, South Park and West Park streets. A new water line was installed and is set to be tied-in along the 5100-5600 blocks of Canal Blvd.
